Grandma Olsen's Seven Layer Cookies

 1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 1/3 cup coconut flakes

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 9x13 baking pan melt butter. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over butter. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumbs. Top with remaining ingredients in order listed. Press down firmly.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Chill if desired. Cut into bars. Store at room temperature.

Grandma's Soft Carmel Corn

3/4 pound popcorn, unpopped weight
1 pound brown sugar
3/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
14 oz sweetened condensed milk

Pop popcorn and remove unpopped kernals.

In large saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture begins to boil. Continue stirring and cooking until candy forms soft ball (235 degrees F).

Pour over popcorn.

Powdered Laundry Detergent

Ingredients:

1 (4lb 12oz) box of Borax

1 (3lb 7oz) box of Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda

1 (3lb) container of OxiClean

3 (14.1oz) bars of Fels Naptha soap

1 (4lb) box of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda

2 (55oz) bottles of Purex Crystals Fabric Softener

Directions:

Grate Fels Naptha soap into large container. Combine all ingredients and mix very well.  Use 2 Tablespoons per load.
